I know exactly how you feel...maybe try listening to music as you write? Is there a song that inspired your stories or maybe a song that might help you think a bit more? That's what I do a lot of the time, it doesn't always get me anywhere but a lot of the time music relaxes me and gets me to open my mind more. :)

1] I just recently started writing up Kingdom Hearts fics, though I've been a fan for years. Most likely planning on moving onto other games to write about when I find the opportunity. I try to draw certain characters however graphics do get in the way at times, doesn't stop me from trying I suppose...

I was just wondering if there was anyone else on here who was a fan of the "Tales of" series. Though I'd like to learn more about them, I can only say I've got a good idea on both ToS games and a small bit of knowledge on a few others. As the thread title states, this is to try and find folk who like to write/read...or are basically Tales geeks. I'd love to talk to anyone who's willing to reply on here.

This has only happened to me once, but it was enough.
An Anonymous reviewer told me that I was a horrible writer with no taste and that I should go die in a hole. Obviously, this hurt my feelings quite a bit and made me want to stop writing for a while.

I tried writing a fan fic for the Outsiders, it was only my third fic so it wasn't brilliantly written. Plus the historic facts weren't right during that time.
However,
I had gotten so many reviews of how my readers liked it. I felt so proud until this reader went on and on about he was the "actual" Dallas, made me sick. Dallas is just a fictional character not even real!
But besides that he wrote how Dallas would never act the way he did in my fic. Then other ppl tagged along with him (who was actually a her) and made me feel like the worst writer out there. So i deleted the bloody fic, and ppl begged me to post it again, so i did, and that same person came back to harrass me...so i gave up on the fic.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything that SoTiredBlah mentioned: they bash non-canon, but popular ships like the aforementioned Takeru/Mako and Chiaki/Kotoha for being "boring" and non-canon and insist that people should stop writing them for exactly those reasons. Exsqueeze me?
That same "reviewer" gave me similar "reviews" and even implied I was a "Sentai fannit" for the way that I had written one particular character in one of my fics. It shook my confidence a bit and got me pretty steamed, but I forged on. So there.
I get flamed with things like "OMG u suck why don't you just delete your account, god where did you learn to write!?" and things like that a lot

As for my worst flame, I've only experienced a few and it tends to be on my incest fanart. [I believe love has no boundaries. Only society applies those boundaries, but eh...]
Anyway, the flame was something along the line of "i hate you. i wish you would just die." It was on a Phineas and Ferb slash comic I spent days on to watercolour, and it hurt a little. [Then I thought of all the compliments I got instead.]
It helps to be an optimist in any given situation. c:

i got one that said: This was so short and not anything to do with anything and it was just...not good.

I've always been partial to the thought of a Sephiroth/Vincent conversation fic, concerning the ambiguity of Sephiroth's paternity. i.e. was Hojo the father, or did Lucrecia have a moment of indiscretion with Vincent beforehand? It'd be a fun prompt, anyway.

The best place for manga is pretty much any manga site. But the ones I frequent most are mangareader.net and animea.net. Animea also has anime, but I mostly go to it for manga.

Of course, fanfiction.net is pretty much the best place for written yaoi, however, none of it is original, as it's all fanfiction. I don't know where to go to get non fan-written yaoi.

I'm asking for OCs on my "Dead Rising 3" story on fanfiction.net. I've only got one submition and I published it yesterday. Does it get you readers a bit ticked that you only get a couple reviews?
YES! FINALLY someone feels my pain! It just sucks that you put all that time and effort into making your OC a separate entity and do everything to make the OC NOT a Mary-Sue and people STILL either ignore your work or just blatantly ACCUSE you of ruining the Art of Fan-work or just saying that your character SUCKED. >.<# I hate people somtimes.
Hello everyone, Jessi here! I've been writing since I learned to read and forumulate my ideas on to paper, and aspire to write professionally when I reach the right age. I dabble in all different genres. I've written a number of FanFiction, some of which having to do with Harry Potter, and Disney-related shows/movies. Also, I've been working on a project having to deal with the supernatural for years now. I really don't care if i get a lot of reviews, just a few is fine by me, but it does tick me off when someone trashes one of my characters that i took a lot of time to create. It makes me sad T.T
What I find amusing is that no. 2 here is so indignant, and yet has clearly not paid any attention to what the OP was actually saying.
