Say you're thinking about something you want to do, or going to do, in the future. You start off thinking pretty normally, but soon it just escalates into a wild fantasy with little to no ties to reality.

Does anyone else ever have this?

Yes, I sometimes just wonder about how my house would look like if it were ver built and then suddenly I start going wild and think up scenarios of a third world war (even though the second hasn't ended yet officially) and how I would have to save everyone I know and take them for years underground in the bunker of my house.

I know it's messed up.

My imaginations include becoming the wolrd fencing champion and a legend for generations to come, and me gaining demonic powers after a ouija board session in which I manage to seal away a demon lord within myself and use its powers. Another fantasy of mine is that I actually turn out to ba a half-demon, meet my demon brethren and end up having to save humanity from them.

Oh, yeah, certainly. I sometimes have visions of me jumping on a trampoline in our barn because someone's after me to kill me. I used to have the very same nightmare when I was younger, for several years. I used to see myself go into my great grandfather's house and see him all bloody and tied up and him saying that no one was real. And then my parents and paternal grandparents (who live next to each other) came, and showed me that they had been wearing wigs all along, for they had killed my real parents. I sometimes remember things vividly, and sometimes I don't. I usually think/dream about getting the boy I'm in love with for real... whether I'm already married to a woman - which drives the wife entirely insane with jealousy. She however did promise that if I'd ever get a chance with Alex, she'd step aside. Not that that's going to happen. LOL

I blame watching my brother play too many PS games, but often when we're in the car driving through a city or a town, I imagine climbing around on the houses and buildings etc. that we're driving past. Also in the car if I'm slightly sleepy, I'll close my eyes and start to imagine stuff, and after a while I get so into it that when I open my eyes, I'm actually surprised it's not real.
