Attack of the Plot Bunny (12)

I'm not sure how many people experiance the same, but I get plagued by plot bunnies way too often. They make me lose all inspiration I have for my existing stories, and won't let go until I at least write the idea down. So that's what this thread is for, dumping all off those plot bunnies you can't get rid off but don't really want to use.

I built a nice little garden for my plot bunnies, so they happily detatch themselves from my skin and go to frolick until I'm ready for them. It's a nice system. Build your bunnies a garden!

I gave them a folder on my laptop, named 'E.P.B.' It works almost as well as a garden, as they're trapped in there until I let them out.

Yeah, I write them down when i get them then deside later on if i want to use them or not.

Question: what exactly is a plot bunny? Is it like an idea that keeps nagging you until you write it down? "cause in that case, I usually have several, mostly resulting in a OneShot fic. I don't really mind as OneShots are what I like best.

>>5 That pretty much sums up a plot bunny. Most of them (or most of mine, anyway) are just stupid little ideas that pop into your head at inopportune moments, and either try to run away again (if they're good) or nag and nag and nag at you to write them down (if they're not good, or are a one-shot).

>>6 Yeah, you got it. And they are! They keep distracting me...

I was once attacked by a plot bunny in a dream. If I ever write that story it'll be a good one, but the problem is actuallly writing it.

The dream plot bunnies are the best. They come out of no where with ideas so bizzare you don't think they make any sense. Once you get it to work, you'll have a great story though.

Sorry for the double post...

>>9 The idea isn't even that bizarre, for a dream :P it's just that making it into a full-fledged story is quite hard.
