Bumping this back up to the top, as we really need people to participate in this month's contest.

Oooh! Can you tell me more?

The rules can be found here, in the first post ONLY:

The registration that is currently running is for next month, and will be open until the 1st of April. That month's prompt can be found in the link I posted in #1 of this thread.

We'd love to have more people over there this month. Thank you! :)

Registration for next month closes in seven hours. Please, if you want to participate in any way, check out the forum. :)

So what do you win?

Registration is now closed for April. The April thread will be updated with the entries, and the winner will be announced no later than the 22nd.

@Pentium - The winner gets to choose the next month's prompt. Everyone will get reviews, whether from the judges or the other participants. This is the third month this competition has been running, and we find it works. Any suggestions are welcome though. :)

I haven't noticed any reviews except from my wife's, even though I always make sure to review everything myself, though.

Every entry so far has had at least one review, usually more.

I don't think so. You can check on my profile on FictionPress. The one from February got one from my wife, and the ones of March none. Neither.

facepalm I must have gone over yours when I was checking.

Do you think it would be beneficial to make reviewing a requirement for judges or something? I think though, that would scare people away.

I think that suggestion would be good for the writers, whether or not the judges want to review or not. They should do it in respect and politeness I'd say, so writers know that what they're posting is actually being read.

@GOELover - They know their work is being read, as the judges are required to read all entries. I have suggested in the rules section that people should always try to review, but until we grow a bit, I think that forcing participants to review wouldn't be beneficial to the competition's growth.
