Hello, my children!

I have recently discovered that 'How to ~insert trade that you can't actually do to a competent level~' books are fantastically lucrative, and, as a result, I shall be marketing my own!

I have chosen the art of drawing manga as my trade. In my reasonably-priced series of books (just £26.99 from all good bookstores!), I will show YOU how to create exciting manga drawings! My books are similar in format to those of Peter Gray:

I LOVE what he's done with the shading. So unique! The melting skin and withered fingers of an old woman really add character, don't you think?

Here's a sneak-preview from my own completed work:

Excited yet? I know I am!

HERE HAVE SOME GUIDELINES THEY ARE GOOD GUIDELINES YES:

Now you are well on your way to competing with manga masters such as myself!

I'll stick with Christopher Hart, thanks...

Tch, tch!

(Actually, he's the only one of those author/aritsts I have any respect for, partly because he can actually draw, and partly because his books are not comprised of 'copy my pictures of this set of four boring characters and somehow this will teach you to draw'.)

But, as I was saying, tch, tch!

Today's lesson is a great one, the one that every would-be manga artist craves. I expect healthy donations in return for this lesson. If such donations are not forthcoming... I shall be quite miffed.

Now, I'm sure you're all wondering what today's incredible, world-class lesson actually is. Allow me to put you out of your misery:

Eyes.

Follow the seven simple, completely logical and sequential steps to create great manga eyes!

Go forth and create, my children!

That will be £100.

Ok there weren't any actual steps, so here's $2.50 for the sake of some actually good drawings.

That was crap. I think you need to BUY a "How to draw manga" book, not write one. And even though they weren't in steps, the eyes were fairly good. but only fairly

Say it ain't so.

Ah, so you already know that those drawings are total crap? Good, spares me the guilt of being the first to break the news to you.

Seems like someone needs to read the OP a little more carefully... and either invest in a sarcasm detector, or pick up a brand-new copy of my recently published book, 'How To Detect Sarcasm', for only £19.99 (taxation not included, contents may differ from advertised).

Actually, I had detected the sarcasm in ...'s response but chose to ignore it. Also, I hardly doubt they were actually being serious about the manga book thing.

well of course we weren't serious. No offense to '...', but anyone who really thinks they can get rich off of that needs to be committed to mental institute and perscribed an extra dosage of 'happy meds'.

BTW, I will not pay 20 pounds for a sarcasm detector for two reasons. 1) I pay only in dollars and 2)I can get one cheaper for only 5 dollars and it comes with an added ethnic accent feature to add accents to all sarcastic comebacks.

That may be the problem.
