jyaa kochi kochi:
I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn’t have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.
@1- GTFO FF.NET NOW.
@2- YOU ARE A TOOL.
@3- ILY
@5- NO U.
>>4 I don't give a fucking shit what they are going to do with those lines, it is their profile after all.
Calling me a tool and doing so as anonymous, because I shared an information, is cowardly.
get the balls and then face me if you want to accuse me
the fact that I share the info doesn't mean I agree/follow it!
RAWR!!!
@6- Actually, I don't agree with Marth. I think that you should be allowed to express yourself anyway you want on FF.NET, that's the reason why the site was created. You may think it is clean and accessible, but what you don't realize is that some writers are Chaotic and there is order to their chaos on their profiles.
@3- That maybe what you like, but I for one enjoy it when the author/authoress puts up the copy and paste stuff. It actually tells you more about them than what they actually put. Like, right from your post I can tell you are a pessimist and would sooner have 7 flames on one story than 3 positive reviews.
No one is a tool. You are only a tool if you let yourself be used as a tool. If someone ASKS POLITELY for something, and you give it to them, you ARE NOT a tool.

@10/11- YOU'RE A FOOL.
>>12 can you please stop comparing information with realistic things?
when they teach at school how life is made by humans does that mean that every kid is going to get pregnant? Or worst if a kid gets pregnant will the teacher/book/school be at fault??
as for chilling, sorry but I do not appreciate being called things especially by "things" which do not have the balls to sign their statement. and if it is for you just "the internet" that's fine let it be like that and allow to feel whatever I want about it.
as for the person who asked the data, nobody asked you to go to their profile, as nobody force them to put the data in their profile, how to present it is their business as it is yours not to like it or not to go there
@14- OKAY I ADMIT I TAUGHT THE MAN TO MAKE A BOMB BUT I DIDN'T MAKE IT MYSELF I JUST GAVE HIM THE INFORMATION SO I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE DON'T ARREST ME KTHXBYE.
>>16 so for you the Trainer in Army who teach the soldiers making bombs is suppose to be guilty if a soldier goes lunatic on him and go and explode a building or something! nice logic
@SeraEris: Anon is just some stupid troll who's mistaking this site for 4chan. I guess he got banned there so he just moved here. I'm a big follower of arguing with people who piss you off, but since this guy has no life at all you'll get non-sequiturs hurled at you for ages. Bottom line, if someone talks in all caps, he's a git.
As for posting those lines on your profile, why not? If you believe in something you should be allowed to put it wherever you want to put it. No one is being forced to read it, at most to scroll past it. Besides, I think most people scroll past profiles anyway, no matter what's in there.
@17- ARMY TRAINERS WOULDN'T BE ARRESTED NICE STRAWMAN
@18- PEOPLE WON'T BOTHER TO SCROLL PAST IT BECAUSE THEY'LL ALREADY KNOW THAT YOU'RE UNORIGINAL, UNCREATIVE, CAN'T WRITE FOR YOURSELF ABOUT THE ISSUES WHICH ARE MEANT TO MATTER TO YOU, AND DON'T NOTICE SPG- NOBODY WANTS TO READ A WORK BY THAT KINDA IDIOT EXCEPT OTHER IDIOTS. IN OTHER NEWS, YOU'RE A MULE.
>>20 I'm not the one comparing a mere random harmless info about shit that I did the "mistake" to give to someone in a public forum with things and situations and information that actually are harmful for others.
so "SORRY" for causing so much harm to the humanity by posting some fucking quotes
Oh, Sera. I was right in post 12. See, when you (people in general, but you especially) get mad about shit on the internet, it's hilarious. Unless you learn to take things in stride, you'll continue to be hilarious and hilariously trollable. So, y'know, pack that shit in, or at least don't tell me I didn't warn you.
@23- I HOPE YOU ARE NOT IRRITATED BY THE HIGHLY IRRITATING WAY I AM CHOOSING TO EXPRESS WHAT I BELIEVE. IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE BEING FORCED TO READ IT. HYPOCRISY AIN'T COOL.
I'm sorry for asking for some quotes
>>3 I get what your saying by not making profiles overly long. However i have to sadly disagree. Authors have the freedom to express themselves. And if they choose to do so by pasting a few things, who's to judge? After all there's the 'scroll button. I don't think most ppl mind scrolling down. I personally don't.
>>8 YOUR not a tool :)
>>19 How does that make someone "UNORIGINAL, UNCREATIVE" Ever heard of the phrase 'Never judge a book by it's cover? 'Meaning you won't 'bother' to read an authors Fic purely based on their profile is low. They could be a really good writer and you might even enjoy their work. After all isn't that what FF.Net is all about? And if you still must 'judge' at least read a chapter of something and leave an constructive review.
The girl only asked nicely for some quotes. Whats the prob?
>>22 hilarious huh?
That's nice to know that I at least make people laugh
>>30 There may be thousands of fics, but that's why its 'fan' 'fiction' you limit stories according to there catagory. Fics aren't here for advertising. They are written by people who have taken the time to write and share their work. Quit with the profile clogg ups already.
YOU ARE AWARE THAT WE CAN ALL SEE YOUR ID CODE, RIGHT?
She's not even aware of how to spell "clog." I think it's safe to say that ID codes are a little beyond her.
Well, just one thing: nothing wrong with quotes - actually those ones are kind of common on ff.net. Even so, I would have a problem with people having a profile so long that you can fill 7 pages on MS Word with it. (That includes overlong quotes, endless list of bands, anime, pairings and whatever...)
And really, Sera, I like you but no need to get so worked up you know. There are idiots everywhere and there will always be someone throwing trash at you on the Internet. Just let it slide like water on a duck's head.
And LovelyG, you say it yourself: what's important on ff.net are the stories. When you read a lot of fanfic, you read the first 3 profiles and afterward, you just don't anymore because it's too long. Again, everyone is free to do whatever they want on their profile.
(I still don't get how can people get so upset because of stuff that are said on the internet. Like a friend said: when you're on the internet, you can't really fight people's own view because they can just ignore your argument. Alternatively, shut your computer down for a while and cool down.)
YES ID CODES.
YOU ARE AWARE THAT MORE THAN ONE PERSON CAN USE THE SAME LAPTOP THEREFORE THEY'RE UNDER THE SAME ID! DUH
LOL
lol
This is... er... quite a thread. Maybe I shouldn't comment, but I want to reply to a few lines.
While I myself don't really like copy/paste stuff, it's a bit funny to see people overreacting to doing that kind of stuff. I respect people for blatantly saying on their profile that they aren't supportive of whatever and that they think of themselves of weird or whatnot.
I like short, clean profiles listing at most information about themselves, stories, favorite/OK/hate pairings, fandoms, and any websites they have. The scroll on the right side of your screen should not be ridiculously small, unless you have a large amount of stories.
You don't really need to know too much about the author of the story you're reading, though- after all, this is fanfiction, and the important thing is if they write fanfiction and aren't total idiots. (Partially is fine. You're not going to become their best friend just by reading their story, right?)
>>34 When I was twelve, I had pretty much the same thoughts as I do now. I'm not that much older than 12- not everybody that age is a copypasta obsess.
Agh, I didn't mean to go that much into this topic. ^^; I tend to go more than I mean to once I get started.
This thread is funny...in a wierd sort of way.
To be honest, when I started out on ff.net, I was really into the copypasta 'shit'. I thought it was funny, cool and part of what you did on fanfiction. After a while I realised that it was a waste of my time having a ridiculously long profile that likely no one will read, and it did bug me to have to slug through pages of copypasta to find out anything about the author. So my profile went through a springclean and now it mostly consists of some information on me, my stories and my likes/dislikes.
I don't have anything against people using copypasta, and I don't think its something to get worked up on. If you feel like this is a good way to express yourself so be it. But I for one infinitly prefer it when the author tells us something about themselves on their profile page- in their own words. So in this regard I do agree with Marth, Iaculus and DuxAtrum, copy/paste can be a major turnoff and whether you realise it or no, you are advertising your stories on your profile page.
So that was my two cents added.
hmmmm....I'm not going to say too much about the message itself. I think that a fanfic writer's profile should say something about the writer as a fan of the series he writes fanficiton for. If you're going to do the copy and paste stuff...post tributes to your characters, favortie pairings, the end of Toonami and ONEMANGA (insert waterfall tears)!!!!! Please don't pollute your profile with useless gibberish...I think a good deal of people really don't give a shit about your beliefs outside of the fandom you're writing for.
