I'm wondering how the other people on here dress, both guys and gals. Because I am THAT bored.
I bought a red dress yesterday. I thought about getting a long, gold cigarette holder to go with it, but I didn't wanna take up smoking. Then I looked for some red heels, but they all had a too-shiny, stripper-y feel, so I got some brown ones.
I can do 'boring' or 'elegant', but not 'pretty', 'beautiful' or 'cute'. What about the rest of you?
I am a plain girl and the only time when i look 'dressy' is when i am getting ready for work. I dont really wear make-up nor bother with my hair unless its work day.
I'm really sad huh?
Every thing I do, be it pretty, punk or boring, it all just comes out as 'Cute'... ¬_¬
tomboyish kind of dressing.
jeans mostly, button shirts, ties, suspenders when I feel like it, and hats like this: http://www.all4parties.co.uk/images_hats_and_wigs/hat_blue_bros_flock_lg.jpg
if I'm in the mood or if it's too sunny outside.
I don't find elegant woman shoes in my size so I end up with either riding boots or sneakers.
I do not wear makeup at all. I wear my hair short and colorful and spiked, I used to had a mohawk: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs031.snc1/3218_74444777478_523392478_1769828_7494403_n.jpg
I am basically androgynous ppl mistake me for a man most of the times
hmm, i've been told i wander between punk and boys clothing (somtimes a mixture of both :P)
i pretty much live in doc martins or converses and looking at my wardrobe, most of my clothing is black...how depressing
i make up for it with my hair though. I have dyed it blue and purple in the past and it is now currently red (i would still have it blue if it wasn't for work having a hissy fit about it)
i feel like a wear a lot of make-up (but i am NOT orange :P) such as heavy eye-liner etc.
I wear what I feel like, I can do certain dresses, jeans, leggings, I'm lucky that I've got a pretty good figure so I can get dressed up when I go out. At the minute I'm obsessed with shorts and vests on a night out. Heels or flats, I don't really care.
Around the house I generally wear pyjamas and slob.
Makeup is only really worn when I go out, or when I have a really bad day with my skin and feel the need to cover it up haha.
>>5 I've just ordered some Dr Martens boots actually! I can't wait for them to come!
As far as my so-called 'style' goes, my cupboards is still littered with the remainders of my winter wardrobe, which consists mostly of grey. At the moment, I'm mainly wearing long jumpers, patterned leggings and boots or long cardigans etc. Nice and warm. I CAN dress up for occassions, although I tend to stay away from heels because, well, my sense of balance is pretty terrible when I'm walking with my feet firmly on the ground, not to mention in stilettos.
As for make-up, I'll only wear it if I'm going out and, even then, I try not to wear too much - after all, it isn't good for your skin.
I usually wear clothes. Preferably those found in my room, but I'm
not fussy.
I tend to wear jeans, converse and a zip-up hoodie. Because then my swagger looks better than with a normal hoodie.
I'm normally plain, 'cos I'm lazy, but I sometimes wear brown eyeliner. I'm drawn to bright clothes. Hate patterns, stripes, etc. I wish I suited the gothic lolita style, but I'm average size, so it's a no. I've also had to accept that red will always suit a tanned, brown-eyed brunette better than blue will, no matter which she prefers. Such is life. I'm not very androgynous these days, but I used to be. My jaw's kinda square, and I used to have funny (funnier) hair.
What about the guys on this site?
I hate wearing skirts (stupid school uniform) or dresses; I'm more of a jeans kinda girl. To go on top, I generally wear a plain, coloured t-shirt under a baggy hoody or a cardigan, or recently the amazing poncho my mum knitted me for my birthday. Sunday mornings I'm smarter, but not by much. I wear trainers outside of the house, and big fluffy slippers inside.
Casual. I prefer to wear solid colors. Design labels are alright but I don't go crazy. A notable exception is a Fox shirt that looks like an abstract painting threw up on it!
I hate wearing dresses and skirts. (Too girly) I prefer baggy jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. High heels are a BIG no-no for me. (My mum says I'm tall enough, anyway) I choose trainers or dr martens. Make-up is also a BIG no-no for me, I prefer to show may natural skin with no 'enhancements'. I like wearing shirts with mythical creatures printed on, too.
Er, shirts and black jeans. Or long dresses, or T-Shirts and black jeans. Or dresses, such as my super-duper floral one. I sometimes wear my converse but most of the time I wear my lace up boots. I usually wear my long coat, but I left it in the Caribbean, but it's being sent back to me. I don't really wear make-up, and I usually wear my Wayfarers. Sadly, I'm usually in my red and green school uniform...
My mom sometimes wonders whether i'm a girl or not because i don't really care for fashion. I just grab what's in my closet.
People do tag me for a gothic because i have lots of clothes in htat style.
Also, look in my closet and you'll find only dark colours. (with the occasional colourspat courtsey to my mother.)
I love boots, so I wear thema lot, but recently my moyher's hounding me for a pair of high heels.
I don't wear make-up and I hate to cut my hear. I used to wear it super-long and let it grow out since I was four. But then my mom decided to cut if off and so my ass-length hair is now reduced to the length of mid-back.
Depends on my mood really. Generally one of these:
Very little makeup- I'm pale anyway so it's hard to find a shade that's light enough
Oh, and often tracksuits as I run a lot, but I don't like wearing them around the house.
Hee.
My so-called 'style' consists of a few things, namely:
So, I could say, I dress very, very girly. But no make-up, since I don't like it.
Although, when I'm at home and don't feel like 'dressing up', I really look like a hobo :D. You know, an ugly sweater I've had for over ten years, horrible trousers, fluffy slippers...
I dress goth, I wear mostly Japanese Visual Kei clothes or Gothic Lolita <3
I recently bought some red contacts I can wear every day, but I will only use them for cosplay. (And maybe for parties)
Irritated today.
So. It's April. It's warm. I wore a shortish skirt to VI Form.
Cue raised eyebrows from the religious girls and some judgemental muttering + 'Aren't you cold?'
No, it's a warm day. I WAS cold in the winter when your buddies kept opening the windows but not taking their coats off, but that's by the by.
'Ooh, what boy are you trying to impress? Is it him?' (points to a guy I don't even recognise)
No, m'dear. My life is not centered around the opposite sex, although your mind apparently is.
(this wouldn't have bothered me if it was meant good-naturedly, btw, but y'know when you can tell that a bunch of girls can't wait to gossip about you or take the moral highground- even though I was NOT dressed to 'lure' guys or whatever, and the fact that they automatically presumed this said more about them than it did me. Plus I've never had a bf, I don't flirt w/ the guys in VI Form, and I find it rather insulting to be labelled a brash slut for wearing a short skirt in the spring.)
>>19 Haha, yeah, I agree. Gone are the days when dressing practically is socially accepted. Nowadays, people make so much assumptions based on the clothes you wear. And it's May- even more of a reason to dress in Summer clothes!
No. 7 Stay Perfect '80' (Cherry) Oh hell yeah!!! Who else is in love with this stuff?
(But now I'm never gonna be able to go back to the cheap rubbish... oops :S)
I'm a butch girl. Shirt/blouse and jeans will do for me.
I wear jeans and T-shirts, and when it's cold a hoody or hooded vest. I don't care about brands, except my shoes, which are always Nike Air Max, running model. (i.e. not the suede looking ones, but the actual sports shoes) In short, I have no fashion sense and I'm very proud of it.
It depends... I have an obsession with the following: ties, my leather cap, and corsets. Not that I wear them that often. And I love ruffled white shirts!
So yeah, to sum it up: shirts (white/black), waistcoats, skirts (with leggings if short), vests (black, white or pink with fake black fur), black flares and high (black shoes)... normally New Rocks or Buffalo... or heels.
But honestly, even if I can change often, I normally don't really care. SO it ranges from goth to classy to suit-like to... 'whatever happened to you that you are wearing pink and have pigtails?' - well... that's random.
Make up is... not an option except when at home and going to uni... I go there to reinforce my 'inner beauty', so exterior doesn't really matter. grins
>> 19 : Labels are... useless but we all are labelled. And most of the time, those calling other girls 'sluts' are either to scared to wear skirts themselves or... they just want to find someone to gossip about, for fear that anyone would get on their case.^^
I tend to find trousers uncomfortable, for some reason; jeans are marginally better, but on the whole I prefer wearing skirts (usually very long ones) - but I get so self-conscious when I wear something less than knee-length. I don't even know why.
A mix of Emo/Goth/Geek in my style.
Normal outfit when I don't care how I look would be skinny jeans, grey converse with black skull laces, and whatever shirt I can find. Most likely being my vintage X-men tee, Horde tee, EEnE tee, 9 or 1 tee from the movie 9, and I'm never without my sliver necklace that has 'vampire' fangs as the focus point.
That was longer than intended, boredom has strange effects on people.
