(Yes, I know it's only August, but hell, I'm curious here!)

Who here has ever or will ever participate in the National November Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo? From what I've heard, fan fiction is allowed there, so I'm planning on taking the challenge.

How about you guys?

The thought of doing that is kind of nerve-wracking, considering it's during the school year. ^^'

Did this year before last and won, never even got off the blocks last year! I'm considering it for this year, and I have an idea already (not fanfic thought) but with work and Uni I'm not sure I'll make it.

>>2 50,000 words sounds a lot, but maybe it doesn't sound quite so daunting if you break it down to 1,700 words a day... (or maybe not!!)

[Oh - and the "No" is for Novel, not November! :o)]

I've never tried NaNoWriMo, but I've successfully done WriSoMiFu, which is short for "Write Something, you Miserable Fuck." It's the slacker version, where you pledge to write for at least ten minutes each day for the month of November. XD Then, we all get on the LiveJournal community to moan and groan about it.

I've participated a couple of years and gotten my 50,000 in. While fanfiction is allowed, unless you are a strong writer, hold off posting it to the net. I did both original and fanfiction last year and while I could post a daily chapter each day that is consistant, other people can't.
