Have you ever received a comment from someone praising your work that was so vague, you just had to wonder if this person had actually read it before commenting? This has happened to me a few times, but there was this one funny time where I actually was able to confirm my suspicions.

On this forum, I posted the link to a story I'm quite happy with and someone replied saying "I love it". Then a week later, this person posted again saying, "Now that I've actually started reading it..."

Seriously, what?

I had someone who copy and pasted every single review that they wrote. I eventually sent a PM back to them mentioning it and later on they started having comments that were more in depth.

I had someone who critisized my work, twice on the same peice of work. The first time they critisized the work, I simply called them out for likely skimming the work and pointed out why it was wrong. The second time, I realized they were trying to flame me and warned my readers about them.

As for the last part, you were hit by a troll. Not one that is trying to rub you the wrong way, but a troll none the less.
