Vampire Knight: Like Twilight or not? (4)

I recently started reading Vampire Knight, and am currently being killed by my friends
for reading it... So, do you think that it's like Twilight, or is it way better? XD

I know what you mean; I've read and watched Vampire Knight and enjoyed it, but part of me is still screaming in protest(and some of my friends join in). There a bit too much in common to my liking (HA! Stephanie meyer must have read it, sneaky bastard.)

It's kinda like twilight, with the vampires having special powers, perfect in almost every sence of the word, with Yuuki having to choose between Zero and Kaname (well sort of.)

Then again, Yuuki isn't much of a mary-sue, not everything happens like in a fairytale and of course THE VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE! And the plot is much better than Twilight's, I don't think I even need to explain why. XD

While Vampire Knight is not the best vampire storyline I've seen, I personally think it is better then Twilight. I also get why people would think they were simular too, but they have completly different plots. I am reminded of the fact that someone on the net asked if Vampire Knight was a knock off of Twilight, not realizing that it had been written and published before.
