Have any of you ever seen any awesome fanfics where two or more authors created it? What is your opinion on working with one or more people on a story? That's what I'd like to know from you guys.

I, for instance, really love this Hetalia: Axis Powers fanfic called "Seven Little Killers," written by luckystars135 and AngelWhoIsNotASerialKiller. It's a horror/myster fic where there's these unidentified Nations running around killing other Nations. The plot's very complicated, and there's a lot of twists and psychotic happenings in the 40 chapters that have already been posted:

As for having co-authors myself... I'd think it'd be kind of fun to do, but I would probably want to do with with someone that I can trust somewhat and who I feel has at least some writing skills.

Yes, on gundam-wing-universe (I think) there is this wonderful crossover story between Gundam Wing and Harry Potter of a British and an American girl.

Its title is 'When Worlds Collide' and it is yaoi (I didn't know when I clicked it, but it is pretty good).

I think it's fun, I also am working together sometimes with other authors, but not a lot. I mostly take requests since the others tend to leave the story after a while or I don't have enough time myself to be consequent in making contact during the school year.

Well, I wasn't exactly talking about CROSSOVERS, but otherwise, but it is a little hard to keep up with a story if you have multiple authors in it, especially if you're not completely passionate about the fic. I admit that working with others on stories isn't for everyone. :[

There are of course other works, but it wasn't put in your explanation that crossovers don't count.
Anyway, I read another one recently (not a crossover) from the DBZ fandom. It was a collaboration fic between three authors (but please don't ask me who). And there are also two girls on ff.net who write one fanfic about Harry Potter (in Dutch).

I personally, am of the opinion you really need to be motivated and you have to know the other authors you want to work with (as oppossed to being messaged only through ff.net)

Crossovers can count in this topic as long as they're written by more than one author was what I meant. ^^'

That's sort of my mindset also. It's best to know what makes your possible partner(s) tick and what they're best at doing in writing in order to see if you guys would be good with working together, and that's best achieved if you've known these people for a while already and are at a more intimate level, whether this be IRL or online (because I believe it's possible to gain that on the web).

OMG, just last week I read this one-shot, it was written by two authors! =D It was hysterical! 1 girl wanted it to a bit romantic and pervy, the other wanted it to be funny and they each wrote 15 lines each. I was ROFLMAO, all throughout the fic! One moment Sasuke is ready to go kiss Sasuke and by the time she reaches, changes her mind and dumps her soda on him. LOL.....

Oops, I meant to say Sakura was ready to kiss Sasuke, my bad! I should not be on the internet at 4 in the morning it messes with my already messed up brain. ;P

Le gasp! Have some common sense on matters like that, woman! XD

I've never heard of fics like that one. Oh god, I can only imagine how I'd react if I found a fic like that on APH.

I actually have done a joint fanfic with someone and its turned out well, or so I think. It depends on how well you can work with a person, truth be told.

Ah, what wonders that chemistry can do with any kind of collaborative work. I really do need to find someone that'd I'd really click with. :3

I wouldn't say we collaborated for one story. We both have our own Runescape stories, but we've worked together to set them in the same universe. Mine is set before his and so forth.

>>11 - That is a form of collaboration.

Traveling shopping question

In the people tradition's traveling idea, some traveling shopping's hobby, some people often “tour”

the expenditure in the traveling not to be big, actually spends one great money for the shopping. How

then not colored or little wastes money? First is as far as possible little goes shopping in the

traveling, because went shopping the inconvenient travel, moreover the tourist area general price is

high, went shopping is not worthwhile. At the same time, it is noteworthy that was sure to remember

that not buys dear the heavy thing. Because of some tourist areas in view of customer fluidity major

characteristic, in sell valuables time, often uses each method to sell the counterfeit commodity. If

has bought these valuables, once after the tourist comes back, discovered that will be swindled will

also be unable because of Lu Yuaner with it theory, have to confessed bad luck. More info about China

If the authors involved with the work are really good, I see nothing wrong with collaboration fanfics. I mean, having another writer help you out is kind of like having a proof reader anyway, right? I wrote one once, and while it wasn't great, it was certainly enjoyable working with 3 others to write a story.

You gotta click with the co-writer, otherwise it'll take a long long while to do. I helped out with a two part one-shot, and I did what I was asked but it turned out not to be what the requester really wanted. So I've not had a successful experience yet, but of course, I won't assume that it can't be done. (=

It's very difficult.

You have to be very in synch with your co-author, and even then, it's going to be often that one of you assumes something that the other person didn't think of. Misunderstandings and misconceptions are also very common in co-writing something with someone, and because some story ideas may be complicated, the message doesn't get across completely and one person or even both people could be left completely and utterly lost.

It's definitely an experience, however. I've had a ton of fun co-writing something, and I definitely would do it again if I was offered. I think honestly you need to consider just how long this fanfic is gonna be that you're writing with someone else, because in our case, we misjudged horribly and now it's grown into a towering, horrifying monster.

From what I'm supposing, simple, one-track fanfics or just oneshots would probably be fun to co-write. Otherwise, if it's going to be a complicated idea, your communication with your friend better be very constant and regular.
