But I had some silly little idea because of another forum I visit to do with artwork. "Critique the person above you." sort of thing, where you pick a piece of their art and critique it, like tell them what needs to be done to improve, what's fine about it etc. Essentially with fic terms it would mean review, but I think it would be a good way for the regulars here to get to know eachother and what we all enjoy writing. Never know, you might make some new friends along the way.
Just a thought.
There's a forum dedicated to 'give the person above you and review, post, and someone will review your story', on FictionPress.com.
Here's the link if anyone's interested:
Yea, but that's only for original stories. A good resource for non fanfiction though.
I can't really see how we could set one up for fanfiction, seeing as a lot of people don't know the same fandoms as others.
If, for example, the first person posted a story that was for NCIS, the number of people who could participate wold be limited.
I know, was just a suggestion :/
I'm all for it. It's a good idea. :)
I was just asking how you plan to impliment it?
I'm not entirely sure to be honest, the initial idea was for someone to pick something they found to sound most interesting by summary and just read it for the writing quality rather than pairing. But it doesn't exactly work :/
I may have a suggestion so that it could. LIke, for example, one of us says, "I would like to read a funny story." The newt one that comes gives the link to his/her story that he/she thinks is funniest and requests for his favorite genre. For example: -insert link- I would like to read a dramatic story.
You can include what things you really don't want. For example: "I would like to read a romantic story but no homosexual pairings." or "I would like to read a funny story, but preferably no Hentai."
These are just examples, and I have no idea whether it could work, but it's just a suggestion.
Not a bad suggestion actually, I'd be in favour of that.
I think that that would work really well :)
Guess the only requirement would be that you would have to be willing to read other people's pairings.
Personally I have no qualms with it, but it's up to you guys.
Bump! Any takers on this idea?
Yeah, it's cool....but...what if you don't really know the fandom? O_o
Maybe you could say what fandom you'd like to read aswell XD it'd make it more funnier :D hehe...(Homosexual pairings usually have a warning on them anyway.)
That would also work. Just say "Fandoms I preferably wouldnt mind" or ones they dont want to touch with a bargepole.
OKay.
I would like to read something humoristic/romantic, preferably oneshot. I don't care about fandom or rating. Anyone has got something for me?
