hey there. I've begun writting one of ff.net about Jervis when he first arrives in Arkham. I love all three of the mediums. Though the only animated one I really liked was the btas by Bruce Timm

I'm writing a two chapter fic about The Joker and one of his victims. I was getting a little sick of the many JokerxOC fics out there.
I love all three as well. However as much as I love the movies, especially the Nolan films, I will say that the animated series was what started my love for Batman and got me into the villans and everything.
If you like BTAS, you should hunt down the various DCAU Batman comics. I don't believe they count as offical DCAU continuity, but they're really good stuff.
Not mine, but a friend has written this. It is, as she says, a 'pointy love triangle' between the Joker, Harley and the Batman.

Half of them don't make any sense! They're normally hostages of his and yet suddenly he falls in love with them or they fall in love with him. The Joker is an asexual, psychopath! He doesn't have it in him to love or care because all that went out the window when he went insane.
Ever read any bad Batman fics? I've read two that stick out in my mind. First one was so bad it was just funny, the other one just makes me mad to read lol.
Joker/OC. Because the most truly beautiful relationships are founded upon Stockholm Syndrome.
Haha. I'm more of a Joker/Batman shipper to be honest. I've read too many awful Joker/OC fics. That and I think if Joker's going to do anything to an OC it's to ultimately hurt or kill her/him.

Hey I don't like Harley Quinn or Harley Quinn/Joker so it's really all the same with me. Joker shouldn't be able to love anyone, whether it's OC or Harley Quinn lol. Especially TDK Joker.
Eh, sociopaths can become very attached to certain people. It just tends not to be very healthy for those people.

I just couldn't picture Harley Quinn with TDK Joker. She's just a bit too kooky compared to his character.
I think the only time I liked Harley Quinn was in The Batman, and only a few times in the animated series.
I was meaning that at least Stockholm syndrom exists, whereas I don't see any reason for a psychiatrist to fall in love with someone as twisted, insane, and emotionally dead as the Joker. And it's canon.
Oh, I know it's canon. Doesn't mean I have to like it. :P And TDK Joker/Harley fics out there aren't really canon since Harley isn't in the Nolan films.
And yes I agree with you there. At least OC/Joker fics can work in some way because of Stockholm syndrome. I just don't like the OC/Joker fics where it's badly written or barely exaplains anything.

Maybe Harley Quinn suffers from the florence Nightingale effect, she tried to help her patient get better and in so doing fell in love with him.
I like all aspect of the batman franchise, even the cheesy old ones, but I have to say that my favourite would have to be the cartoons. I don't like to read Batman fanfics, I can't say why its complicated, but all the same. I still love Batman!!!
