I love Vampire Diaries! I'm wondering if anyone is obsessed about Damon as much as I am? And for some reason, I really hate Stefan, but I think Damon rocks!
Does anyone else agree with me?

Hell yes! I love it!

And I totally agree with you.. Damon rocks! (but I don't hate Stefan that much :D)

Have you read the books because I've only seen the tv series and nothing else...
I'm looking for the books cuz I really want to read them, but it's a bit hard to find them in Belgium.. I'm going to try the library when I don't have any exams anymore and if they don't have it there, i'll just order it or something..

to Lisa,
OMG!!! you've seen the TV series!!! OMG!!! I can't wait to see it but it hasn't came to England. Is it good? The books are amazing! try looking on amazon, coz they'll probebly be on there.

Haven't seen the series yet but I adore the books. I'm really pissed off, though, that everyone thinks that VD is just a copy of Twilight when actually it was written FIRST.

(And if you ask me it's v suspicious how similar they are... :P)

Hmm... i totally agree with you. I noticed that as well. V.D. is totally better than twilight!!! It was written in 1991. Twilight was in 2005 or something like that. How can V.D. be the copy?
Do you think Stephanie Meyer read V.D. or it is just the 'Great minds think alike' principle???

Has any fans of Vampire Diaries read The Night World series, or Dark Visions, or Forbidden Game, or Secret circle, or Solstice, or Heart of Valor???

I can't wait for the TV series. I've just went totally crazy and found loads of images on the internet of vampire diaries. I'm insane. I hope I'm not disapointed in it.

I read the books (and a lot of her other stuff) in primary school (year 5ish) and still love them. But I watched one episode of the tv show and hated it. It just felt like a pathetic attempt at trying to emulate the twatlight cash-cow. :(

The above post was by me, by the way.

I've not read Vampire Diaries but I've read the first 6 Night World books. Ash is definetly the best in my opinion :)

I saw the first episode, (my friend had it on his laptop, still can't wait for it to come out over here) and I loved it.

Then I bought the book a couple of days ago, haven't started reading yet though. I'm looking forward to it.

I do like Twilight to an extent, though I also enjoy mocking it. I do think that first ep of VD was way better than the Twilight movie, and I suspect the book will be better too!

I've watched it online up to episode... 5/6 I think. It is so good, one of my favourite shows right now! I haven't read the books, but I really want to. And NewMagicWeaver, I've read a few books of the Night World series. =] I love Ash! But it seems I really like good-looking evil vampires, because I absolutely love Damon.

I think it's a lot better than Twilight, but it's not that hard for me to think anything is better than Twilight because I REALLY hate it. My friends and I even wrote a spoof of it. And I'm a proud member of Twilightsucks (dot) com.

But enough Twilight bashing! xD Go Vampire Diaries! It is annoying when people say the books copied Twilight, when it was written like 14 years before Twilight? I do think the TV series was probably released around the Twilight time, because everybody was madly in love with vampires then so the market was just right for it, and parts of it did remind me of the movie Twilight, but it's a lot better.

I love the VD books and show! :D Haven't finished the books yet or the show but what I've read was good and even though the show is slightly different I still like it, and it's going to be on English tv soon so I won't have to watch it on the interweb anymore XD
And Damon rules, Twilight drools! :P

I've just finished the first and second episode! I love it! It is different to other stuff I watch, like Charmed. It doesn't have a lot of major action and violence, but I still enjoy it. Maybe that's because I read the books, and I love them, so I just kinda automatically love the show. I'm still on team Damon, for now. At the end of the second, I wasn't sure whether I was or not, but I've decided Why Not? I'm not on team Stefan, and I do need to support a Vampire Diaries team, so...
