i just clicked on the story and the text was on the center
now im trying to review and it doesn't let me do so,
also the buttons on the top abut font size and such text formatting shit dont work either.
Might be a page glitch. Refresh the page, empty your cache, and if they don't work, turn your modem off and on again. If there's still a problem, save the webpage and attach it in an email to Fanfiction.net.
it's not fanfic .net. i had the same problem. it's somthing wrong with your computer. my dad fixed it on mine. not sure how but it can be fixed. the only real problem with it like that is that you can't write reviwes.

Last night it wouldn't show me any of my uploaded documents, or let me change my profile page. Turns out it won't work on ym normal computer and I had to use my dad's laptop.

Still working fine for me, but they've been having a lot of bugs recently
when i looked at the errors it was something about crone [i think thats the google browser program] and because yesterday my Real player asked me for update, it has an offer for a crone but i declined it. anyway
as i say previously i downloaded the latest version of Firefox and now it works perfectly
so it sure had to do with the browser
if you use firefox just upgrade it to the firefox 3.6 beta

had a couple of errors logging in once though but hasn't happened again
am i the only one having problems uploading my new documents? always saying it can't process it and there could be a problem with my file. i tried a few other files to check and either everything in my files have gone nuts or FF.net is off it's rocker.
almost didn't get my newest chapter up. doing a few last minute fixings and it wouldn't let me upload. who else is having problems?!
I havn't tried uploading yet, but I've seen several other people having problems with it.

copy your material and paste it in an already existent document, it might work

There is a wide spread glitch to the site. A friend of mine was having problems uploading a DOCX file. She did what the #14 did, and it got through.
The site always has some glitch to it. Whether to PM options are down, the e-mail messaging system is down, or it randomly logs me out. Why am I still there?

man I don't even leave the site, My computer has been off since I don't even remember when, mozilla firfox is always on this site, FFnet H&M archive and some other sites. I technically never close ffnet I simply reload the page so when I go to give a review [which is at lead once per date] or click on that login button to go to my account it keeps asking me to log in.

I'm still having problems. I've even had reviewers threatening to leave the story over formatting issues, which are FF.Net's problem. I can't upload, can't review and everything is centered.

Found out why things weren't working. The new Java came out and FF.Net has obviously upgraded itself to match it, thus locking out anyone with older flash. Upgrading your flash or browser should help you with uploading, although there are still glitches.

anyone having trouble getting the published story to update? i switched chapters with the updated ones and it's been over an hour and they still haven't updated for people to read the beta-ed one.

I've been having problems just getting updates, alerts for new chapters coming through after 24hours, and then forum alerts not coming through either.
It sucks man.

I think yesterday they were doing maintenance since my friend was trying to post. Though it looks to be done now.
I had received reviews today and read then in the mail alert but they don't seem to appear in the fic's review page.
Yeah. I had problems last night setting up a new account for a co-write with a friend. We still 'don't exist' according to the server.
Also, the problems with uploading should be fixed. I hate that they didn't say anything on the main page about all this though.
Just uploaded a new chapter, and got the email to prove it. Only when I click on the link in the email, or go through my profile page, it tells me there's no chapter there.

when there is an error in uploading documents... which is not ones own fault
when one hits publish or save, it realigns and un bolds thing etc.
overall, I think it fantastic though
it is way easier to use than other ones, which you have to pay for and are way harder to find a way around the site!!

The people in charge of the site also say they're looking into it. Apparently the site was down for a day or two (don't remember this ???) and that's the reason the lag existed.

unfortunately the hits will stay at Zero the days the problem stays and after they fix it the hits will be lost.

I get ten reviews and tons of hit, yet they wont let me see then for a week. Then on the the I-pod I HATE THE MOBILE VERSION!!!!!
Funny how this got to be one of the biggest threads so fast, huh? The site seems to be up and running today, but I have certainly had my share of frustration when it goes down, especially when I've promised others an update!!
Yeah, I think one of the funniest things I did was to review my friends' new story I updated my story and managed to find a way to include my review into that, and actually integrated that into the story.
Ugh, the traffic is always breaking down for me. It never lets me see the hits I would've gotten if the system hadn't broken down, either. Plus, editing is always a pain, since you gotta update the document then replace the chapter instead of just editing the story directly.
FF net is acting funny again!
my latest update was like 11 in the row of stories in the archive and since yesterday it came up 4th of so because updates later than 13th of July are no visible LOL but when you click in the story you can see the update, also for once more the hits are not show in the traffic page.
Sometimes I post a story and a week latter I try to search it with the search function.
And then it says it can't be found.
i posted a chapter and checked to make sure the link worked like i always do then i got a messagge the next day saying that they couldn't get to the chapter. i went back and tried the link again and it wasn't working. seriously? what is up with ff?
FF.net is strange for me too. Sometimes it'll show the updated fics of an author I watch, and then sometimes it'll randomly say that a multi-chaptered fic only has one-chapter with no reviews (when it actually has a good share).
Oh, and it goes back and forth in showing my profile the last time I updated, and my more recent update (one moment it's: last updated a day ago. and then other moments: last updated a month ago).
It's just...a LITTLE bit frustrating.
I have a question that I've been wanting to ask, but have no idea where the appropriate place is to ask. I don't really feel that I should make a thread on it either.
I know you can't hyperlink anything in stories, but I've seen people hyperlink to their livejournal/deviantart/youtube on their profiles. But I honestly have no idea what the formatting is to do it. :/ And not like posting the whole URL, but using a word like "My Youtube!" as the link to the page.
You guys have no idea how stupid I feel for not even knowing this. Because I feel like I've looked around everywhere to find out but can't seem to find the answers while everyone else already knows. :/ It's frustrating. I feel like a twelve year old forum noob again.
it seems to be working well for me for the past year... other than the search engine crashes! the darned thing crashed on me three times in one day once!

>>54 when you go to the place where you edit your profile at the very top there is a sign that looks like a chain-link if you put your mouse ontop of that it should say link so you know it's the right thing. then you find whatever website you want to link, copy the URL, then go highlight the words that you want to make be a the link, go back up to the link symbol, click it, and a little box will appear with a place to put the URL and you paste it into that box hit okay and then it'll turn into a link.

The site epicly crashed a few months back and they haven't fixed all the glitches. I lost all of my previously loaded documents but thankfully they were still on the site
