If I'm honest I'm surprised at how many MEN there are here. It's a well known fandom fact that most (even almost all) fanfiction writers are female. In all my time in fandom I've very rarely come across male authors (even less often high profile male authors - in fact only one that I can recall). Even though the women outnumber the men, I expected it to be by an even larger proportion.
I got the ratio for here at about 3/20, which, yes, is pretty low, but I thought there would be almost no men here at all (maybe just one or two at most).
As opposed to three.
@ 223: No, you misunderstand me. There are more than three men here. There is a RATIO of three men to ever twenty women.
Of course that's just a VERY rough estimate. I got it by counting the replies to this thread of 'male', compared it to the total replies to the thread and put it in its simplified form.
