Their ties are about £50. Since your currency is different, to put that into perspective- you would pay about £5 for an everyday tie from an average shop, and less if you went somewhere cheap. £5 is a bit more than the price of an all-day bus ticket, and a bit less than an average paperback novel. £50 is the price of a PS3 game. To pay that much for an everyday tie, possibly SEVERAL everyday ties, and to see that as the norm... Well, it renders me speechless.
I can imagine worse methods (as in more expensive) to buy a tie. How about ordering from halfway across the globe? :D

I consider myself one of the richer ones in my friends' circle, but I can tell you this.. I'd probably care more about money if I had someone to share it with. Happiness has a certain emotional value, money only monetary.

I think I will continue to submit my stories to fanzines, and once they are a year or two old, post them on-line. If I get the free time to study this website a bit more, I'll be happy to try to discuss fanfic and its various sub-genres, and complain about the fact that 'netfic authors can't/won't proofread. Yeah Yoshino asked me about this too. It seems like a decent idea but I'm not a social butterfly and my art skills aren't all that great. I told him I would rather help with the actual writing of the script than the drawing. I wouldn't mind being a part of a group as long as you guys can handle my social awkwardness lol.

I live in California. I think that we're all a bit too spread out to meet in person: why not just post our newest pictures on an agreed-upon site, like Deviantart? We could all still collaborate, but no one would have to fly three thousand miles.
i live in Cali too, and what i think hes trying to do is just get those who are close together. get people like me (who has no internet and only gets on once a month) together with others. sometimes ides will only pop up in my head when i'm having a heavy ranting bouts with my friends. chating online just isn't the same as human interaction! i can't wait to find some people around me! i'm not the best when it comes to making my own friends so i love this idea, it takes some of the akwardness out of it! ^^
I thought this was a really good idea! I mean, how kick ass would it be to be able to meet with other people that read and draw. This would be really cool. I live in Ohio, if anyone lives close. I agree with Neyank-chan. Pretty awkward about meeting new friends, but these kinds of groups would make it tons better!

It is a fact that the majority of the fanfiction authors are girls. And many are young teenagers, 12 or 13 year olds. They prefer yaoi over het in most cases.
Naruto is the most popular archive of ff.net in anime section. Since Naruto and Sasuke are the lead characters in the series (and two of the most popular ones) and they have this friendship/rivalry thing between them, many of these 'fangirls' tend to obsess over this NaruSasu pairing. To fuel their hopes there is even the 'accidental kiss' in the early charters/episodes of the manga/anime.
As for why many girls like slash or yaoi, don't ask me (i am a guy). They have this concept of equality or something like that. There is a thread about slash in 'fan works and fan culture' on this site. You might want to check that out.
All said and done there nothing one who dislikes yaoi can do about it.

I get why teenage girls are attracted to it and everything since I myself am a teenage girl, but that doesn't mean I like it, though I do know many people who do. But, on fanfiction, I think they should add the option to tag your story as yaoi,slash,het,yuri,ect or not along with the option to search only those types of stories or exclude all of them in a search. I think it would make everyone happier. Yaoi fans can gather and search their yaoi while the people that don't like it can joyfully exclude it from their results!
If this was a club, I'd join -_-". I saw an two entire pages of Sasu/Naru. And I agree with liatris-chan. Boy-boy can be attractive, but sometimes those girls take it waayy to far. Too disturbing to read aswell. And what? Some of them who have talked to me were twelve, just.... Neugh. Major dislike mode:/.

I know what you guys mean. I, myself, am a teenage girl who writes in FFNet. I am a yaoi fan, and I do have some yaoi in my story. But I at least write warnings of such things in my freaking summary. And I cannot write or look at explicit content. I also try avoiding reading it on FFNet as much as possible. I end up getting pretty high, legit fevers. I don't need to be surprised like that when I read something that I didn't know nor suspect was a yaoi fic when not in the mood. And the Naruto yaoi stories? Naruto seems to uke a lot...To various people.....Anyone wonder why Kishimoto did that to Sasuke and Naruto? I know he thought it was funny but....Why?

About Naruto being weak...no offence but are you lookin for some superhero story? The series clearly isn't like that, nor will be. Naruto isn't some superhero sueish character who would become ultra powerful to defeat his enemies in a flick. Nor he is some weakling who can't do a thing.

After the Pein arc it has been established that he is the child of prophecy and is currently being trained to use the fox's chakra. He can easily be the instigator of a major turning point in the ongoing war and probably go neck to neck with sasuke, kabuto or even madara. Just because, he is the title character, that doesn't mean he should be the most powerful.

But back to the wonders of sleep; Since my period has gotten heavier/apparently makes me upchuck) medicine that knocks me out seems to help more than anything else.
You could also try herbal teas, or exercise if you can stand it. Back in the old days I used to use one of those bicycle machines when my cramps were bothering me.
You can still have a chance of becoming pregnant at the early stages of your period, in case you didn't know, because the egg is still attached to the wall of the womb. Until it's out of there, you shouldn't have sex unless you want to risk pregnancy.
It should flow out in the heavier stages, which raises another issue: ew ew ewww. Do you mind encouraging the flow of blood and womb bits by being penetrated? I would. And would your partner mind if he sees his beep coated with blood? I'm sure he would, unless he likes that sort of thing :/

@ Izzy, actually, that's inaccurate. The only time an egg attaches to the womb is when it's fertilized. Menstration happens when the egg reaches the end of a follopian tube (Which connects your ovaries and womb), and is unfertilized, and thus, now rotten.
@ Sex while PMSing. I've done this before, and it only made my cramps worse. I'd wait a few days after the start, and then try, cramps won't be so bad, but then again, they generally aren't all that bad after the first few days of initial flooding.
Then again, I'm 25, Married, and just finishing up my first trimester; so I haven't had to deal with that for a few months now..
Ever try rubbing your knuckles up and down you back in a massage? If you put slight pressure around the place where your sides and back me just above your hips, it somehow helps alleviate the pain. I know. I've tried. And I've given massages to cranky friends who, apparently, felt a lot better afterward. May or may not work. Your body ain't mine, no matter the similarities.
I don't recommend taking pain-medication too often. Especially Advil. I heard from a friend that one of her good friends died from blood-loss while taking Advil, because Advil causes your stomach to bleed every time you take it. So that would add on to you monthly bleeding. Period+Advil=Lots of Blood-loss=BAD!!! Methinks.
