Ahh...this site is dying out...sad face

6 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-14 14:21 ID:RQLz0ziH

Mm, yes, we do get too many trolls. I didn't bother myself with this site for months because I was sick to death of all the idiots who thought they were comedians.

It could do with having a sign in. I know people don't like it, but it's one way of preventing mindless spam and trolling.

Being allowed a spell check would be good as well.

Not sure what can be done about the speed of posting, as I'm not sure why it's slow to begin with.

7 Name: Bola : 2012-01-15 06:40 ID:pUa4DJLh

>>6 Indeed. I've not been on the site for ages just because of those occasional idiots... Registration would cut down lots of those trolls already.

8 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-16 11:29 ID:5+aRWoCH

Who's in charge of this site? Maybe we can contact them?

9 Name: Susu : 2012-01-17 08:36 ID:sGLAFCBx

We could try the link at the offline meeting page. I think a sign in would indeed cut down the annoying trolls. Though I also think a lot of people would stop coming because of that:S But indeed, the trolling/idiotic links are annoying as hell.

Edit that, the mail link thingy is one every page.

sent an email. Lets see what happens.

R.I.P...

14 Name: Bola : 2012-01-31 16:13 ID:pUa4DJLh

shrugs Sadly enough, I cannot say I'll miss it. I mean, there are more disadvantages than real advantages. Everyone disappears, so you cannot really "connect" with many. If there are others who are patient enough with the slow uploading, then usually it is waiting long for a reply or there comes a troll in between with less than nonsensical replies...

15 Name: Susu : 2012-02-01 01:24 ID:sGLAFCBx

true true, though I also had a time I had to wait less than half an hour for a reply from one of my friends. Then again, our thread has suffered from this killer disease as well.

Connecting doesn't have to be an issue though, you can always ask for their mail through a PM on fanfiction, DA, or however you want to.

Any KakaSaku fans? (5)

1 Name: Regas : 2011-12-28 10:57 ID:95h1oAB2

I love this pairing - I don't even remember what got me into it - but its always stuck.

Let me take that back, I don't love that pairing. I'm obsessed with it. It's pretty much taken over my life. My favorite colors are Silver and Pink <3 Ha. And My favorite song is Mr. Watson by Ke$ha (<--student/teacher thing)

Anyone else have this problem?

2 Name: Moonphase : 2012-01-02 17:48 ID:uSeC7QzW

This is a bit off topic, (I'm not into KakaSaku, but I'm not really into any Naruto pairings) but one pairing from the anime I've never understood is Kakashi and Iruka. I mean, why do people pair them? They hardly talk to one another? Did I miss something?

I think it has to do with their disagreement right before the Chunin Exams- you know the whole, lovers dispute thing- I'm not all into KakaIru either, it's odd.

what powers would you have if you where an X-men? (12)

1 Name: TatteredTwilgith : 2011-03-29 21:38 ID:fvwgr1qJ

hay, i just wanna say i think it'd be cool if i was an X-men, and alot of people think so to. give your OC, powers, and what team there on (like Strykers team (X-men Origins) the X-men, the brother-hood, or the sister-hood.

i would love the power to control realty. not people, they make there own choices. kind of like inception. but real.

what do you think?

5 Name: What If? : 2011-04-07 15:20 ID:ZcVOesc2

best x-man was from an alternate reality team called the exiles. calvin rankin, the mimic. guy could copy 5 mutant powers at any time and could choose which powers. Started out with the powers of cyclops, iceman, angel, beast and marvel girl. later combinations included wolverine, colossus and northstar.

6 Name: thecrimson : 2011-07-09 18:09 ID:VmBwJlzE

I'd have the ability to control various forms of energy.

I have to agree with Marth on their prediction for this thread, but would like to add that growing up with the 90s X-men cartoon as I did, I was always jealous of those mutants who could fly.

I don't think mines that powerful. Actually I want to change it to shooting energy from my hands. Like with Cyclops...only in my hands :3

If I had to choose a power for being an X-Man I'd pick something completely off the wall; why not be able to freak people out if you can? Like huge ears for supersonic hearing, or webbing fingers and toes and gills on my neck, or chameleon like skin.
Not extraordinary or even useful, but loads of fun!!! Let the ungifted run screaming in terror!!! Haha.

Creating Original Characters (7)

1 Name: Whistler : 2012-01-10 18:26 ID:FEMU4bw2

I've been toying with the idea of creating a few new characters for some of my stories. The problem is that I'd like to create some regular/recurring characters that will help the story without becoming either a plot device or completely taking over the spotlight that the other characters occupy. I'm trying to find the right balance in my drafts and not having much luck. Has anyone else had this problem?

2 Name: Elkkun : 2012-01-12 08:15 ID:QlbTPJ8s

My OC's come from stories in which everyone has some kind of power, and are only more powerful than the other if their element is the stronger one (I.E Ice over Fire etc).
My other stories are usually human animal hybrids, and includes characters who are mixed with animals like, Cats, Birds, Snakes, Turtles. Of course, the characters are perfectly natural within their environment, as every else is like that, with their own tribes etc.

I think what I'm getting at is, if you want to make a character that doesn't become a plot device etc, just make another character that fits in with everyone else you have, and make it so they just occasionally give advice and then not offer up to anything major in the future.

This can be hard to do though, because people will expect that character to be a plot device and then become quickly disappointed when such device doesn't come in handy.

//I hope this made some sense

3 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-14 14:36 ID:COjfop+T

>>1 I find that simply asking your readers is a good start. When I used OC's I make sure that I don't love them as much as the main characters from the original cannon.

Because you don't love them as much, they are utilised properly as a device to forward the story.

If you want original characters that you love and want to write a lot about, then save those characters for your own original works. Putting a lot of effort into OC's for a fanfiction is wasted energy.

For example, I'm writing a war story for one fandom. The original show I'm basing it off hasn't many characters, so I'm having to use some OC's. However, these OC's are there to be killed off. Will I give them depth and development? Yes,but only because it'll make their deaths more meaningful.

The minute OC's become more important than the original characters is the minute your OC is too important- they then need to be pulled out of fanfiction and put into an original story, because they won't work in a fanfiction.

4 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-14 14:39 ID:COjfop+T

Also, when using OC's I sometimes put an authors note asking the readers to let me know if they think the OC's are taking over. All my reviewers were very nice and polite about it. They let you know in a nice way if they think your OC is becoming over-bearing. It depends on how well you take constructive criticism.

5 Name: Whistler : 2012-01-15 17:15 ID:rWSnAaEE

2/3/4/Thanks guys. I'll be working on some original characters that will be gradually introduced as my stories progress, starting them off from a basic template and going from there, I liked your suggestions about not over-writing new characters and also asking reviewers to offer honest opinions. At the same time I want to keep my cast of characters from growing too big. I don't know if other people have this problem but I feel like I need a chart of some kind to keep track of all of them when too many names appear in a chapter.

6 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-16 11:27 ID:Npkkqm/r

Hm, needing a chart to keep an eye on all your characters seems a bit much. Do you need that many? Because you may overload your audience with too many names, histories, descriptions and personalities. Can you get away with cutting down the OC number, or maybe just focusing on a handful and letting others not develop too much (allowing them to be the equivelent of 'background' characters in a film?)

It's just because writers like Stephen King get criticised for using too many characters, and he's an awesome writer.

I hope I'm not discouraging you, I don't want to do that!!!

7 Name: Whistler : 2012-01-17 15:43 ID:9FpCzsWb

5/6/ Sorry, my point was about other fics I've read, usually my limit is twelve main characters that would rotate in and out of the stories main focus, any more than that and I feel like I'm at a party where you meet a ton of people and you'll be lucky if you remember a handful of names. I'm aiming for stephen king talent, while at the same time avoiding Tom Clancy type detail. (not knocking Tom, but the man's books read like encyclopedias when describing certain things)

Ever written something that you liked at first but hated later? (12)

1 Name: Neil Dunsmore : 2011-06-01 19:39 ID:pU/v3I3k

I certainly have... plenty of times. A lot of my old fanfics I have to admit really weren't that good. It was mostly just me thinking 'Hey, this crossover could be the most awesome-licious thing evar'. One particular fic I wrote was a romance involving Luffy and Nami. I loved this when I first wrote it but looking back at it, I realized that was quite possibly the worst thing I ever wrote. It was somewhat out-of-character, contrived and just really didn't work. Sad it took me 4 years to realize it.

3 Name: Piccylo : 2011-06-03 11:05 ID:BvbO0dsL

I will feel this way about everything I do forever.

4 Name: Lupa Dracolis : 2011-06-05 12:13 ID:HX240x+K

Oh, yes. And they're deleted from both ff.net and my laptop, never to be seen again.

5 Name: KnightNinja13 : 2011-06-10 01:04 ID:N6BN2NzL

I think most of the writters on fanfic have regreted one story or another. I remember I posted one and not a week later I got a review saying it made no sence. When I reread it, they were somewhat correct. I guess it just depends on when and why you're writting the story and what type of creative mood you were in. I still deleted the story so I guess there was no point in this post ^^

6 Name: moonphase : 2011-06-19 03:09 ID:G89QQsvq

I haven't hated anything I've written, but I have been ashamed sometimes. I often end up re-writing fics, as I swore to myself I would never delete or not finish a story.

7 Name: CherryBerryB : 2011-06-29 01:52 ID:L+gPLE96

Pretty much everything I write, especially my first two works (or fails, depending on how you look at them). I don't really like to re-read my stories because then I nit-pick the errors which I think are blatantly obvious that people probably haven't noticed (or maybe they have. How the heck should I know?).

8 Name: Anonymous : 2011-06-29 10:05 ID:rVxK0JNz

All the time. ;) But I keep them up there because it's nice to see how I've progressed over time (and also to remind me why it matters to write good)

9 Name: thecrimson : 2011-07-09 01:11 ID:XEvq6J6T

I've hated only one, to be honest. It was a Naruto story. I started it because I had just gotten into Naruto, and my sister had just exposed me to fanfic.

Of course, I wasn't too familiar with the show, so it eventually descended into crap and I deleted it. When I have time, I will go back and rewrite it. But I'm too busy with my best fanfic ever: The Sphere of Varrock! (Which is almost to be concluded with a sequel following after some time with my LoZ fanfic)

10 Name: Rapunzel : 2011-08-28 18:17 ID:16K015Af

Oh yeah, about counts in head 4 times. Espicially this one songfic THAT I DESPISE WITH MY ENTIRE SOUL!
But I keep getting postive reviews and favorites for it so I keep it on. Thats pretty much the only reason. I am super surprised that weird songfic hasn't gotten a nasty flame yet. The world has gone mad.

11 Name: Chelra : 2011-09-07 09:57 ID:CmtF14nl

I end up disliking almost everything I write and being unable to read it without cringing or laughing at how bad it is.

12 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-14 14:42 ID:mQ5exV0R

I'm ashamed to admit that, after going over my stories, I realised that after writing one good peice, I got very lazy. I'm in the process of re-editing one of my fanfictions into something better. The rest will follow.

What is the best supernatural series you've ever seen? (8)

1 Name: moonphase : 2011-10-01 11:21 ID:jLDxAm+z

So what's the best supernatural series you have read or watched? Personally I love 'Supernatural'. I also grew up watching Buffy; Angel was ok.

I liked 'Dead like me' but then stopped watching it (for reasons I can't remember) part way through season two.

I've read one of the 'Black Dagger Brotherhood' stories, which seems ok.

Book wise I grew up with Harry Potter, like so many did. I loved the manga 'Card Captor Sakura,' and I liked 'XXXholic' and 'Tsubasa...' though I really didn't rate the endings (I thought they were confusing and half done.)

'Devil May cry' is a decent anime, but I'm only on episode 9 in the first series.

What about everyone else?

2 Name: Bitch Goddess : 2011-10-01 14:44 ID:YpXcYwSy

I also grew up with Buffy lol I think everyone did to some degree. Today I watch True Blood and Being Human. Watched a few episodes of that Torchwood: Miracle Day, but didn't like it much. Oh, does The Walking Dead count? Zombies are supernatural. Or A Gifted Man? It has a ghost. Ok, I'm fishing now haha.

I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood series! Some other good supernatural type series (other than HP) are the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, the Magic series by Cheyenne McCray (or McCrey), the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning, and the Fallen Angels series by J R Ward.

Never got much into anime...watched alot of that Yu Yu Hakusho with my sister but that's about it. But I do love Miyazaki's movies, particularly Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.

3 Name: moonphase : 2011-10-02 09:19 ID:QOtAEhaw

I like True Blood and Being Human (though I've only watched the first two series of BH). I like the Merlottes on TB, Jason (though he annoys me sometimes) and Lafeyette and Jesus.

But Supernatural is my favourite so far.

I read one of the Dark Hunter series and liked it. I've stopped reading a lot of supernatural fiction (there were so many reoccuring cliche's that I got angry) but i should start reading again. Fallen Angels sounds good, what is it about?

Some anime is good, but like fanfiction you have to sift through a lot of crap to get the good stuff. I'd say check out XXXholic. I love Miyazaki as well. Personally my favourite one of his is Princess Mononoke, not a lot of people like it but I love the characters and find it a very powerful and moving peice. On average I find anime quite misogynistic, so I appreciate the heroines in Miyazaki's work. recently I watched the first series of Fairy Tale and I thought it was pretty good.

4 Name: moonphase : 2011-10-02 09:20 ID:QOtAEhaw

Oh and I tried watching the first series of Torchwood but I found Gwen's character completely disgusting and I couldn't stomach it.

5 Name: Bitch Goddess : 2011-10-03 11:36 ID:pIE9cQbs

Fallen Angels is basically about the last battle between good and evil. Sounds corny I know, but it's not. Basically, God is getting ready to abandon mankind if it can't be proven that they are innately good. So the Angels and Demons come to an understanding: seven souls will be picked and subjected to one of the seven deadly sins each; another separate soul, who is equally able to commit both great good and great evil, was chosen and agreed on by both sides to sort of influence these seven people. The Angels won the figurative coin toss and got to approach him first and turn him to their side so to speak; and since the Demons aren't fair players and are sore losers, they sent their own "player" onto the field to try and turn the souls to evil.
If the Demons win, God truly abandons mankind and every soul on Earth from now until eternity will go to Hell and the Angels will cease to exist.
If the Angels win, every soul from now until eternity will go to Heaven and the Demons will cease to exist.

It is a romance series so there's alot of that kind of stuff, but the best part is the dynamics between Jim (the person chosen to influence the other seven people) and the two angels helping him, as well as their battle with the demon who's trying to influence the souls as well, it gets pretty down and dirty and disturbing at times. You should really read them, they are awesome. I might even possibly like them better than BDB. Maybe.

6 Name: moonphase : 2011-10-10 11:49 ID:BKdX5bQz

That sounds really interesting! I'll definitly check it out, thank you :)

7 Name: Mazzie : 2011-10-31 04:49 ID:5QKTsZUR

8 Name: moonphase : 2012-01-14 14:40 ID:Eksr0Lve

Tobi is Obito Theory? (9)

1 Name: Regas : 2011-08-22 09:46 ID:pAYoEbHr

I was just wondering if there is anyone who still believes that yes they are one in the same; for what ever reasons; or if everyone just gave up on the whole idea?

I personally think it's possible, considering the evidence, but I'm not positive he is either. Some people say that there is absolutely no evidence to support the theory but... I think there is deffinately some questionable details to it :

The Obito is Tobi theory analyzed:

the Tobi is Obito theory works out to a certain extent; that of which can be proven from Kakashi and Tobi's first meeting, as well as other things which I'll adress later. You want to know why he would choose Obito to be his body, and while your right about the logical choice(he choosing a 'surviving member of the clan), it would have been less logical to abduct a member of his clan when Madara is supposed to be dead. As for Obito, he was available and presumed dead and he's has one of the most unique Mangekyou Sharingan's we've seen yet on the show; surpassing even Sasuke's and Itachi's to a degree. In certain instenses, we see that there is no possible way of them being the same person, until Kakashi and Tobi meet for the first time; there is a very detailed connection of the Sharingan's that should not go unoticed, leading many to start questioning the theory even further. What's also feeding the still hard core believers now is the fact that Madara implanted the Rinnegan, Ironically on the side that replaced Kakashi's damaged eye. We've never seen Madara actually use the Mangekyou eye on his right side(Since he's made his appearence), leading even more to believe that they are infact the same person. Now recently, the part where Kabuto is summoning the dead, Madara is actually scared of the Coffin which says his name. Because the real Madara is in there? Or because of something else? If so, the brother theory (that it is Madara's younger brother in the coffin) doesn't fit because he would have no reason to be scared. Madara took his brothers eyes, so he could have the ultimate mangekyou, rendering his brother blind if you recall.

Post too long. Click to view the whole post or the thread page.

2 Name: Anake14 : 2011-08-22 11:32 ID:S7/D5LhM

I think the Tobi is Obito theory has a lot of merit. Personally I'm more inclined to think Madara's spirit took over Obito's body especially since Obito was so close to death and that's usually when a person's spirit is closest to the other realm and it would be possible for another spirit to latch on to it and return to the world of the living. So generally I think it is possible that Madara's spirit is in Obito's body, while Obito's spirit itself is kind of in a sort of sleep, I guess. But yeah, I pretty much agree that it could go either way as far as the Madara/Obito/Tobi thing goes.

3 Name: Regas : 2011-08-23 08:45 ID:yMR5Cwn0

Yeah, I agree with the spirit thing. It seems unlikely that Masashi Kishimoto would just have the bad guy, be a bad guy, especially one with so much...meaning to the show.

What do you think he needs to clear up to, when he ends Naruto?

4 Name: Piccylo : 2011-08-23 10:56 ID:FMWufwCP

I love this theory. Not because it makes any sense, because it doesn't. But because I can see Madara pulling a total coolface.jpg under that mask every time he sees Kakashi. One day that mask is going to go and Kakashi will be all "wut" and Madara will be all "u mad bro?"

And, honestly, though it makes no sense, I've seen Kishi explain away dumber things. So, there's that.

5 Name: Anake14 : 2011-08-23 12:12 ID:S7/D5LhM

He needs to clear up a lot of things, but quite frankly I've given up hope considering I refuse to watch anymore now that both my favorite characters are dead. But anyway, I see it as unlikely that he'll explain and he'll probably leave people to their assumptions if anything...

6 Name: Regas : 2011-08-25 12:44 ID:bZcu3lvg

>>4 I can only imagine Kakashi's face when, if it is Obito, the mask comes off. I would laugh my ass off too if Obito said, "You mad bro?" It would just be so...out there that it would be funny.

>>5 I think we need to see under that damned mask that has plagued our interest for thirteen fucking years (Kakashi). And I reallly want to know what happened to Rin. Aaannnnddd.... I think that the village needs to know that Itachi wasn't a bad guy after all, he just protected them all from his psycho family.

Oh and, sadly, Sasuke needs to just die. It would make everything better. I used to love him, and then he went all Psycho-Emo-Cub and shit. I mean, I figured he would have more than enough brains than to run off and be a play-thing for a serial-killer-pedofile-snake-dude-with-a-fifty-foot-tongue....

Don't feel bad, I'm way behind on it, I haven't read it in like a year, but my friends show me random chapters and explain things that have happened so I'm kinda-sorta caught up. But Kishimoto-sama is just dragging it out for all it's worth now...

You're favorite characters are dead?

>>6 You sound like me. I loved Naruto but I didn't like the portrayal of teen girls, nor that there were loads of side characters that would be introduced then just dropped all of a sudden, and then Sasuke...dear god what happened to Sasuke?

I stopped reading it after the part where Sakura found out Naruto loved her and decided she was going to kill Sasuke.

My sister still reads it, so I knew about zombie Itachi, though I didn't know that about Kakashi.

I mourn the loss of Naruto. I wish it was still good. I hope one day it will return to being entertaining.

>>6 I agree about that thrice Kami damned mask. After reading for so long and we still haven't seen his face? What the hell dude...and yes, sadly both my favorite characters are in fact dead, which is better than my friend I suppose, hers always die in the first part of the series so she stopped picking them so she wouldn't get attached. I don't feel bad about it anymore due to fanfics.

>>7 Sasuke was psychologically screwed over and mentally unbalanced to begin with, not to mention weak. When he dies people will shout praises to his killers, Naruto fans will either mourn his death or throw parties in the name of the one who killed him, either way I expect fireworks. As for it returning to being entertaining...we who hold faith can only pray in futile hope that it happens soon.

Drawings...? (8)

1 Name: mangaxanime101 : 2011-04-24 17:37 ID:R0LsDZ4N

I know we have our fellow DeviantArt users here. But does anyone who doesn't have an account there draw anyways? And this could possibly be a thread for random drawing requests or links... with a warning of course.

3 Name: fan-to-fiction : 2011-05-17 11:27 ID:bans4/SM

I don't have any account for drawings.
But I do draw Dragonball Z and Gundam Wing (the mechas are really hard).

Currently working on a DOujinshi on request.

Sad thing, I had over 50 small drawings and six posters of DBZ, and my older brother sold most of them to his friends.
Now I'm trying to draw them all over again (I had a description of each number -I numbered them, how crazy's that?- and am trying to do it again) but it won't ever be the same as the originals again.

What the hell, your brother's friends wouldn't give them back?

Do you pour salt in their drinks when they're at your house?

Your brother profited from your work?

Did you at least get a cut?

7 Name: fan-to-fiction : 2011-11-19 06:11 ID:3aiQq4we

No, sadly he kept the money and my parents were like: 'you shouldn't have given them to him'. Now I have anout 20 drawings from the 49 I used to have of the small ones.

And there are no friends allowed at our house. :( So no, didn't get a chance at revenge. Though now he doesn't have to ask anything anymore from me.

Fun things to Do on an Elevator (7)

1 Name: Regas : 2011-07-03 12:51 ID:4TetyyQF

What are some fun things to do on an elevator?

1) stare at one person, smiling, for a while and then announce "I have new socks on."

2) stare at one person and back into the corner saying, "Your one of THEM." in complete horror.

3) start humming your favorite song, and then bust out the lyrics while doing a strange dance.<(^-^<) <(^-^)> (>^-^)>

4) Smile politely and act like your from a different country and the only english word you know is "spoon"

5) Ask people if they want to see your rash, and tell them that it's very contagious but only if they touch it.

Any others?

4) GREET everyone with a warm handshake and ask him or her to call you Admiral.

5) MEOW occasionally.

6) STARE at another passenger for a while, then announce in horror: "You're one of THEM!" And back away slowly

Why are we waiting? (21)

1 Name: FreakyBookReader : 2011-03-11 13:34 ID:mUqm8Xm0

Ever got so annoyed at a writer on fanfiction who NEVER updates, except once a month when all they say for the chapter is: "Sorry writers block. Please review with any ideas for me." It's so annoying (well to me anyway!)

12 Name: Noc and NC : 2011-03-18 22:38 ID:o4AczQt+

Well, the chapters that took me a year to finish were all around the 6000 mark, which is in the high zone for me. 3000-4000 is my normal amount, while I try not to go any lower than 2000. Physically writing the chapter never takes very long- maybe two or three days at most. Its overcoming my own nerves that takes a while. I guess its true that I don't work hard on my chapters for a long time, but do I work hard on trying to find ways to inspire myself.

On the other hand, I can write a 8000 word chapter with a snap of my fingers if the content of that chapter comes easily to me. Its all about my state of mind, I guess.

13 Name: FreakyBookReader : 2011-03-20 07:24 ID:mUqm8Xm0

I see what everyone means, and I guess that in some cases it is better to have to wait for a few months. Personally though, I can't read a story which doesn't update for ages because I read so many fanfictions that I forget the charactors.

14 Name: moonphase : 2011-05-01 13:50 ID:UeYJlh1o

>>12 whoa, I tend to write 1500 words per chapter maximum, lol.

15 Name: Neil Dunsmore : 2011-05-02 06:39 ID:2pNWbE/2

Oh boy. Pulls on collar, whistling innocently

Okay, okay, so I never ask my readers to give me ideas because rarely will I take them. (I prefer to do my own thing) But, yeah, when I don't update, usually the reason is because I was about to write the next chapter and had absolutely no idea what to put. I have so many unfinished works it should be criminal. (And this is coming from a guy who actually finished a 56-chapter fanfic in less than 3 months)

16 Name: monmoncandie : 2011-05-04 19:27 ID:Jo8/cMge

I am guilty of doing this. OTL Mostly it is because I can't get my motivation/inspiration back up to what it used to be when I started, but I try to update in a timely manner. I do feel bad that I leave my readers waiting, but I swore never to leave my fanfics incomplete.

I guess I just need that right...kick or whatever to really get inspired you know? Oh and fandom switching doesn't help. I can't multitask. LOL

17 Name: fan-to-fiction : 2011-05-17 11:21 ID:Qz6QO2sv

I'm also guilty of not updating lately. Main reason: a friend died, I was too put of to even think about writing.
And then when I did get up to it again school turned into hell. There are only 2 weeks left before the finals. Luckily I do have half of the three chapters finished that I need to update so the day after the last test I'm going to put them up on ff.

18 Name: thecrimson : 2011-07-09 02:20 ID:e+8/bdfN

I love to write, but also love to procrastinate. So I put all my stories on hiatus and started working on them. The reason being that normally I'd take forever writing a chapter, then upload it, and then forever writing the next chapter.

With the hiatus, no one would expect new chapters, so I could work on them. In execution, it turned out badly and I only got one chapter done lol. But, now I at least upload every Saturday.

19 Name: Rapunzel : 2011-08-28 18:31 ID:GqQjvpHz

The longest I've one is four months. And because of that, I'm still working on that same story (uploading every week now) and its been a year :P
Although I am really proud of myself. Because when I first started writing fanfics, I would update after of three weeks to a month at a time. Now I do my best upload every week. If I miss a week, then I'll get it the next week.
Although, I think my main problem is the lentgh of my chapters...yeah that has to be fixed...

20 Name: Mazzie : 2011-10-31 04:59 ID:Yi0W+J/g

I've only been guilty once and that is now! T_T I just... can't find the WILL or the INSPIRATION. I mean, I want to write and my readers have been asking me to but... yeah. :(

I hate waiting myself because the stories that take forever to update are usually the best ones!

21 Name: Moonphase : 2011-12-22 12:54 ID:DauyNmp+

>>20, some of my fave stories take ages to update. Often, the authors I read have jobs or uni, so they're very busy people. Plus, I find that though waiting can be highly frustrating, because the author has a high standard and refuses to throw out a chapter, when the chapter does come it's very good.

However, I am very slow at up dating (something I feel very guilty over) so I'm biased.
