Now, this is nothing about my latest little rant... well, not quite.
Whenever someone has knowledge of the future, it'll never go well. They always want to change something for the better, and end up rendering their future knowledge inaccurate or worse.

However, In fanfiction, for some stupid reason, people could go back to when they're only a dream in their parent's minds, and they wouldn't go out of their way to change ANYTHING of merit.
They'd treat it like they're suffering from the Butterfly Effect, or events seem to ignore all attempts to change them.

What are other people's experiences with time travel stories?
Am I wrong, or do more writers write a looser canon than normal and call it 'time travel' than actually change the past to make a better future?

So... Me and my friend are co-writing a story on fanfiction.net called "Cannibal" in the Hetalia fandom, and strangely enough, after we posted that a lot of other people came out with Cannibal!Feli Itacest stories.

There's one particular one and it's not too good, but it has all these amazing reviews on it... The chapters are short and barely descript, there's no setting of the mood, or tone, it's... Just not that good.
It has about... 36 reviews on it so far with 9 chapters, which should indicate a good story, and judging from the reviews it's good.

Blah, check it out for yourselves... Seriously

How many of you are tired of getting those "omg diz is so Kaw@11" reviews? What about those "update soon please" reviews? I'm so sick of them. Recently I put in my a/n of a story on FF. Net that I was leaving for the military next week and people are still like "omg can't what for the update!". I' like can you read? That is besides the point. Critics United is a band of people who know how to give a real and honest review that are coming together from different fandoms in order to help authors who want to know what to work on. We love assisting people who would like an honest opinion of their story and not only that, we are accepting members. We need people who are always honest in their reviews even if what they have to say about the story isn't positive. We we never tell you "you suck go die" of course, but some are a little harsher than others. We have a variety of review styles and we just enjoy helping people. Visit my forums on FF. Net (my name is DarkSacredJewelXoX, just search for me in the search engine) if you just want to talk, want someone to review your story, need a beta, or are interested in joining. We're growing by the day xD. My question to you all is: how do you review stories? Do you just say the positives and leave out anything you think might offend the author? Do you give praise when it's deserved and criticism where needed?

Another question: when you find a fic on FF. Net that's breaking the rules, do you report it? Critics United does; however, we review the story to offer advice on how to fix it first and let the author know what rules they are breaking. Sometimes the authors admit their mistakes and change them; other times they author lashes out. When that happens, we do report the story.

Well, since I had a major breakdown with the other host where I lost all of the posts, I guess we are just going to have to start over. I have moved to an other host, and I am going to spend the next few weeks of hard work learning Perl to re-code this to store the posts in a database rather than in .html files as it has been doing before... (and this really is tiresome...) but if this is necessary to prevent another breakdown, I am going to do it!

Anyways, let's just re-introduce ourselves right now. I am Yoshino in the Moonlight, and I have written some fanfiction before, but not so much right now.
